Two years ago, Cadwalader Park Alliance (CPA) reconstituted with a new board and has emerged reenergized and recommitted to its nonprofit mission: to build awareness, excitement and support for the City of Trenton’s “National Treasure.” Read more.
Park Hosts Cross Country Running Competitions
Cross country is back in Trenton, thanks to the effort of the City of Trenton’s Recreation Department, the Trenton Central High School Athletic Department and the Cadwalader Park Alliance. Two September meets were held at the Gully Field. Read more.

A Park with a Rich History
Established in 1888, Cadwalader Park is New Jersey’s only public park designed by Frederick Law Olmsted Sr., the “founder of American landscape architecture.” It is also Olmsted’s “last great urban park,” according to the National Park Service.

In the heart of Trenton’s historic Cadwalader Park, the Trenton City Museum at Ellarslie Mansion houses a fine collection of art and artifacts related to Trenton’s historical, industrial, and cultural past and present.
